CIMPH was launched in spring of 2009 in response to a need to improve opportunities for sustainable integrative medical care in low income communities. While a vast array of organizations dedicated to public health and integrative medicine exist as separate entities, few organizations are working on the intersection of these disciplines.

Through policy and programmatic development, education of health care practitioners, and strengthening the network of professionals working towards a common goal, CIMPH strives to improve access to and delivery of integrative health care in underserved communities.

We are dedicated to:

  • Defining, developing and evaluating best practices for the use of integrative medicine in public health settings
  • Providing training to clinicians
  • Designing public health programing
  • Facilitating communication of organizations and individuals with a common goal
